Pigs In The Sky On BVI

Lunch at 1300 feet above sea level!

Hog Heaven Bar literally hangs over a cliff on the highest point of Virgin Gorda.

Hog Heaven's owner Dale Wheatley, also know as Captain Blondie, is a pig affectionado, and he also loves spending time on the water.

Dale got the nickname "Captain Blondie" due to the salt water turning his hair blonde after so much time diving. He is also captain of the Princess boat taking guests to and from Trellis Bay. After more than a decade on the water, he decided to start a pig farm, and Hog Heaven was born.

His pig farm, Dale Wheatley Agriculture Center, was started with just two pigs, and now has at least 200 - and he's quite fond of his two "pet" pigs Miss Piggy, and her sister Refugee. He says all of his pigs live in the "Pig Hotel" with the prettiest view of the island

Here you'll find one of the best views in the British Virgin Islands, along with tender, tasty BBQ pork ribs, chicken, potato salad, cold slaw, rice and more. With any BBQ order you get two sides, the prices are very reasonable - and you'll get some of the BEST views of neighboring islands.

The restaurant has seating for approximately 25 customers - yesterday we managed to be the first customers to arrive.

From Hog Heaven you can view the North Sound and neighboring islands from the restaurant's deck - Moskito (Mosquito) Island, Saba Rock, Sir Richard Branson's private Necker Island, and the Bitter End Yacht Club
