TCI Caribbean Food and Wine Festival


Countdown to the biggest culinary event of the year in the Turks and Caicos Islands - The second annual Caribbean Food and Wine Festival will take place from November 1-3, 2012. 



The three day festival will feature authentic Caribbean cuisine and cooking demonstrations at various properties across the island of Providenciales.

The Caribbean Food and Wine Festival will bring together some of the island's prominent chefs and wine makers, along with celebrity chefs from the United States.

American chef and TV personality, Beau Macmillan, chef and owner of The Lion and Crown in New York City, John Deluci, Tuck Beckstoffer, winemaker John Terlato, and owners of the Duckpond Cellars are among the famed to participate in the festivities.

November 1 - Festival Welcome Reception 


The festival kicks off on November 1st with Amanyara’s executive chef, Fritz Zwahlen, along with John DeLucie offering a five-course meal. Guests will be treated to wine and food pairings from Tuck Beckstoffer, Duck Pond Cellars, Terlato Wines and La Sirena Wines. DeLucie will also lead a cooking demonstration and conduct a book signing session in the evening.

November 2 - Gourmet Safari, where guests enjoy a culinary adventure traveling to some of the finest hotels and restaurants in Providenciales for each entree. 


The seventh annual safari will begin at the Grace Bay Club where guests will enjoy hor d'oeuvres and drinks. Grace Bay is also hosting "Sandals and Tuxedos" dinner on the beach.

Appetisers will be served at the Coyaba Restaurant and will mark the first stop on the safari expedition.

The main course will be prepared by the Seven Stars Resort while the Regent Palms, third on the gourmet stop, will prepare the fish entrĂ©e.

Indulge in dessert at the Gansevoort with gourmet chocolate, cheese, sea-foods, meat and local favourites, along with a large selection of vintage wine.

November  3 - Food & Wine Tasting at The Veranda Resort and Residences, where gourmet chocolates, cheeses, seafood, meats and local favorites will be on the menu. 


After the Food & Wine Tasting, guests can attend the Street Food Fair where 15 chefs from leading Turks and Caicos hotels, resorts and restaurants will be showcasing their expert grilling and barbeque techniques.

Last year's festival sold out, and this year tickets are at a maximum of 80 guests. The small ticket number enables festival goers access to meet and mingle with the chefs and winemakers.
