Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort Villages and Spa will close temporarily from September 1 to October 19, 2013
The temporary closing is for a “wide-ranging enhancement program” according to Gordon “Butch” Stewart, chairman of Beaches parent company Sandals Resorts International.
The decision to close was prompted by “the level of guest interruption during the improvement work” which will include installation of a ‘Sky Slide’ waterpark feature and a re-organization of back-of-house operations that “will directly impact service standards.”
“We regret the inconvenience that closing will bring, but our concern must be with the safety and comfort of our guests,” said Stewart. “We fully expect that our work this fall will keep this beloved property a favorite worldwide.”
All bookings for the affected time period are protected and guests can re-locate to any available resort of their choice within the Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts portfolio.
The original rate will be protected for guests who wish to re-book at Beaches Turks & Caicos. Guests wishing to re-book or relocate may use their resort credit for travel now through Dec. 20, 2014.
Sandals Resorts International will cover airline change fees, additional ticket costs and rate differences at the new resort for guests who wish to re-book at another Sandals Resort or Beaches Resort on or before May 20, 2013
For guests who re-book at another Sandals Resort or Beaches Resort after May 20, 2013, Sandals Resorts International will cover airline change fees, and guests will receive a credit for the original value of their Beaches Turks & Caicos vacation.
