One "happy island" is about to get a lot happier, if Ritz-Carlton has its way . . .
The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba opens November 22, 2013 on Palm Beach - the island’s eastern coast.
This is the seventh location in The Ritz-Carlton’s exclusive portfolio of award-winning properties in the Caribbean and Mexico.
The property broke ground four years ago on a site near the Marriott Aruba Resort & Stellaris Casino. Each of the Ritz's 320 oceanfront guestrooms has balconies or terraces, ocean views - and the rooms are nearly 600 square feet, and the 55 suites are even larger.
All guest rooms feature a private balcony, 46-inch flat-screen television, DVD player and iPod docking station. Bathrooms are equipped with marble vanities, tub/shower, telephone and Asprey toiletries. Each guest room also contains a fully-stocked mini bar and an in-room safe.
Guests staying on the seventh-floor Ritz-Carlton Club level will have the use of a private lounge, concierge services and five food and beverage selections throughout the day, including signature cocktails.
The dining selections reflect Aruba’s tropical backdrop ranging from poolside casual to sophisticated elegance.
The Beach Grill features an assortment of specialty cocktails, light bites and expansive open-air seating overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Other dining options include a specialty fine dining restaurant, a casual setting cafe for a la carte favorites, the Lobby Lounge and 24-hour in-room dining.
The new luxury facility also offers two pools, 24-hour room service, a fitness center, the Ritz Kids' Club (daily charge), evening entertainment in the lobby and the French restaurant, water sports, nearby golf, property wide WiFi (there is a charge for in-room use) and the second-largest casino on the island with 350 slot machines and 19 tables, open 24 hours a day.
The 15,000-square-foot spa will be the largest on Aruba when it opens.
The spa sanctuary features 15 tranquil treatment rooms with a complete range of ocean-inspired natural body and facial treatments, massage therapies and three specialty spa showers. Adjoining the spa is a full-service beauty and nail salon and state-of-the-art fitness center offering a variety of workout classes, including yoga, spinning and Pilates.
