Intimate Nassau Bahamas Beach Hut Resort

Compass Point Beach Resort, on Nassau is a collection of seaside huts with a local and Caribbean music history

Compass Point founder Chris Blackwell wanted to combine the intimacy of a small property with a traditional simple country home residence common to his native country of Jamaica.

The result was a Compass Point Beach Resort, a collection of seaside huts painted in the Bahamian Junkanoo colors of mauve, turquoise and sunshine yellow on the island of Nassau, Bahamas. The white interior of the resort contrasts with the vibrant exteriors, all of the huts are air conditioned with balconies, and each room boasts a state of the art surround sound music system.

The on-site restaurant and bar is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers delicious Bahamian and International cuisine.

Chris Blackwell was the founder of Island Records in Jamaica and Compass Point Studio in the Bahamas. He was inducted into the Music Hall of Fame in 2001, and is best known for introducing Bob Marley, Grace Jones, U2 and many other artists to the music world. After closing both recording studios, Blackwell opened several small boutique hotels in the Caribbean under the Island Outpost brand.
