Camana Bay, the Caribbean’s premier mixed-use destination offering world-class shopping, dining and entertainment, will expand its weekly Farmers and Artisans Market for the busy spring break season.

Starting March 12, guests can visit the enhanced market, which will now feature an abundance of local and handcrafted products as well as entertainment.

A showcase for all that is grown, made and created in the Cayman Islands, the Farmers and Artisans Market is perfect for tourists who are visiting Grand Cayman during spring break, which is also the peak of the harvest season.

The expanded Farmers and Artisans Market will offer the chance for guests to shop for unique, locally made souvenirs while they learn about all that the Cayman Islands have to offer,” said Jackie Doak, chief operating officer for Dart Realty (Cayman) Ltd., the developer behind Camana Bay. “The weekly Farmers and Artisans Market is a perfect complement to the many activities and memorable experiences Camana Bay currently offers.”

On Wednesdays beginning at noon, fresh produce and farm products will be offered in Cassia Court.

  • Local artisans and purveyors will line The Paseo, where visitors can purchase ready-to-eat specialty foods, gifts, jewelry, crafts, teas, flowers, jellies, seasonings and more.
  • At 3 p.m., the Farmers and Artisans Market will offer entertainment, ranging from live music to artists creating their craft in real time. Traditional Caymanian activities such as demonstrations of thatch weaving, rope making, conch blowing, soldier crab racing and traditional toys will entertain and inform guests.
  •  In addition to the market, visitors can explore more than 40 local boutiques and eateries at Camana Bay. Children can play in Camana Bay’s beloved Imagination Playground, created out of interlocking blue foam blocks at The Crescent Fountain
  • Guests can also take a stroll through the garden courtyards, get a 360-degree view of the island at The Observation Tower or relax on a hammock on the palm-fringed Island in The Harbour.
