Celebrating Summer at Camana Bay on Grand Cayman

At Camana Bay on Grand Cayman,
Summer has always been synonymous with family

A destination within a destination, Camana Bay is a vibrant town located in the heart of Grand Cayman. Stretching 600 acres from the famous Seven Mile Beach to the tranquil North Sound, this mixed-use master-planned community s one of the first examples of New Urbanism in the Caribbean.

Located in the heart of Grand Cayman, Camana Bay was designed to allow for constant breezes to flow through the walkways.

There are over 40 restaurants, eateries, boutiques all within a "water" theme environment with seashell walls, water fountains and jets, along with a scuba diving mosaic in the Observation Tower.

While on vacation parents usually choose to enroll their children in expensive supervised activities or attempt a one-size-fits-all itinerary of experiences that they hope will satisfy every age. Camana Bay offers several activities that are sure to please the entire family.

This summer, visitors can take advantage of a limited-time complimentary gift card, which offers visitors $10 to use at any of Camana Bay’s signature restaurants, perfect for exploring local Caymanian cuisine or enjoying a favorite pizza.

Visitors can watch the depths of the Caribbean sea unfold in mosaic form with a stroll down the Observation Tower’s 75-foot helix staircase, the top of which offers a 360-degree view of the island.

Splash around in one of Camana Bay’s signature fountains and, on select days of the week, enjoy Imagination Playground, a changing array of elements that allow guests to create their own unique play experience.

From June through August, Camana Bay’s popular Moonlight & Movies will showcase family-friendly features.

For families who desire a cultural experience, they can stroll through the weekly Farmers and Artisans market on Wednesdays, where vendors sell local produce, jewelry, jellies, gifts, crafts and more.

Beginning at 3 p.m., the market is infused with entertainment, ranging from live music to cultural demonstrations of thatch weaving, rope making, conch blowing, soldier crab racing and traditional games.

For parents wanting some alone time to explore the island, Starfish Village at Camana Bay offers supervision for children ages 3 to 12 in time blocks throughout the day.
