April 2014 is going to be a great month for sailing and boating enthusiasts with both Antigua Sailing Week & Bequia Easter Regatta on the regatta schedule

You don't have to be a sailor to enjoy racing week. If you are lucky enough to be on a non-competing yacht or boat, you can follow along and see the racing action up close. Plus on land there are many great spots around the island to view the races with a cold brew, cocktail and food.

Bequia Easter Regatta

Last year the 32nd Bequia Easter Regatta broke a record with a over 50 yachts in addition to local boats. The Easter Regatta takes place on the island of Bequia, and is the islands most popular sporting and tourism events.

With the success of last year's event, 2014 promises to be even better with new courses, lay day activities, and lots of sponsored events during the evenings. Bequia Easter Regatta 2014

Antigua Sailing Week

Antigua Sailing Week is in its 45th year, and considered one of the premier sailing events that attracts yachts from all over the world. Antigua Sailing Week has gained the reputation of one of the world’s most thrilling sailing regattas

Sailing week brings over one hundred yachts ranging up to 100 feet, along with high-tech racers, performance cruising and cruising boats. Nelson's Dockyard at English Harbour is "event central" with live music, food and drinks. As in Bequia, there are parties at other locations around the island.

Antigua Sailing Week is a non-profit organization that is sponsored and operated by the Antigua Hotels and Tourist Association.
