Strawberry Hill - Island Outpost

Each of the Island Outpost hotels and villas offer a unique character and expression reflecting the culture and rhythm of Jamaica. Island Outpost properties are Strawberry Hill, The Caves, Ian Fleming Villa, and Goldeneye.

Goldeneye - Island Outpost

A Little History . . .

Chris Blackwell founded the independent label Island Records back in 1959, and credited with bringing reggae music to the world outside Jamaica.

Blackwell produced Bob Marley and the Wailers, British acts like Traffic, Bad Company, ELP, Free, Fairport Convention, King Crimson, and world music from the Irish traditionalists The Chieftains to Africans like King Sunny Ade. Island Records also brought independent artists to the forefront such as Roxy Music, Brian Eno, Sparks, Grace Jones, Marianne Faithfull, Tom Waits and Irish band U2.

The Island Outpost Experience

Guests can opt for half day, full day, overnight and multi night experiences

Enjoy the lush landscape with a refreshing swim in the river, learn about sustainability and the diversified farm that provides produce to the Island Outpost properties, and dine on authentic Jamaican food made from freshly-harvested farm produce.
